Before and After of my Pro-Line

    by pmcnealy » Tue Aug 29, 2017 1:17 am

After a lot of research, I found the boat I wanted; a Pro-Line center console. I found one in Ft Myers FL that had been sitting for a couple years.

Once I got it, I replaced the engine, electronics, wiring, pumps (OK, I replaced just about everything but the hull). Here she is:

I'm pretty happy with her, and we've been doing a lot of fishing!

Thanks! Please do post your pics. I always like to see how people have their Pro-Lines setup. I get a lot of ideas like that, and I'm sure others do too.

Nice job on the boat! I have a 1997 251 WA, single 1997 Johnson Ocean Runner 225. The 2950's smaller brother. Those G2's look great hanging on the back. Are they working well for you?
I will probably be re-powering in the spring and will max out the 300 HP boat rating. I was considering a Suzuki 300 but started taking a good look at the G2 and really like what I'm seeing. The power steering, trim out function and the clean rigging all appeal to me plus it only weighs 100 lbs. more that my current motor so it should do fine on the existing bracket. We also have an excellent Evinrude re-power and service center close to me.

Jmike, give Michael a call at Boater's World in Lake Placid when you're ready; they give some darn good deals on re-power jobs.
